Azuni offers eclectic collections of jewellery for all.

Since the beginning Azuni have sought to combine contemporary style with the traditional techniques, adhering to fair trade principles throughout. Using an array of materials to create beautiful pieces, designer Ashley Sinclair Marshall takes his inspiration from Native American cultrue and combines this with his love for contermporary fashion.

A little more about the designer and the jewellery...

Having spent many years in some of London's finest kitchens, Azuni founder Ashley Sinclair Marshall left his role as top chef to pursue a career in jewellery design. Inspired by Native American culture and spirit, Marshall travelled to South America to gain inspiration for his premier collection. He continued to expand his knowledge and build his enthusiasm for jewellery through a jewellery design course at Sir John Cass University. Marshall was blown away with the skills and techniques that he discovered. His original collection was manufactured in a fair trade workshop in London with the help of the indigenous Mayan Indians he met in the jungles in 1995.

This first collection was instantly taken up by Paul Smith and Unga, encouraging Marshall to continue his Azuni designs.

Although his designs have evolved with the changing fashions, Marshall stays true to the Azuni philosophy of using the highest quality natural materials. His collections consist of:

• Filigree silver hearts, onyx, turquoise, rose quartz, carved shell and mother-of-pearl fuse together in a gloriously romantic collections
• An eclectic mix of textured silver and carved semi precious stone and mother of pearl blended together in the tribal collections.

He blends the carefully sourced materials with fabulous hand techniques such as beading, hand polishing and wire work to produce a beautiful collaboration of texture and colour; each piece an embodiment of individuality, meaning and Azuni spirit.

12 years on and Marshall's popularity continues to grow amongst jewellery lovers as he continues to collaborate with fashion labels within the UK and across Europe.

Most of the Azuni pieces are produced in London based workshops, ensuring quality and control over the design and manufacture processes.

Each Azuni piece is a vibrant fusion of tribal design and contemporary romance.
