Dyrberg Kern’s designer jewellery is a fresh and innovative combination of traditional Scandinavian design ideas and the influences of current fashion trends. Entirely new collections are created twice yearly, giving Dyrberg/Kern jewellery 'limited edition' appeal. The designers are able to combine their personal ideas with modern fashion trends to create a totally new look and colour theme every season. By their own admission, these pieces are not classics, it is in essence costume jewellery, exciting, modern and totally in vogue, however Dyrberg and Kern jewellery is far from a passing craze, the designers' mission is to create stunning pieces which will complement your wardrobe over several seasons.
The designers ‘believe in a timeless beauty, modern cool design, fine finishes and top quality materials. Our jewellery is always sexy, glamorous and easy to wear. The main purpose will always be to emphasise the personality of the woman who is wearing it’. This jewellery appeals to women of all ages from all around the world, the wide variety of design styles and ideas which are incorporated into a single season's collection means there is something for everyone.The Dyrberg Kern collection uses a variety of materials including beads and pearls, precious stones, silver and brass. Other natural materials include wood, amber, mother of pearl, freshwater pearls and ceramic. Man-made materials include resin, mouth-blown glass and acrylic.Precious stones are used depending on the season, for example, rose quartz and aquamarines for Spring/Summer tones and amethyst and onyx for darker, Autumn/Winter tones. The base metals are entirely free of nickel and lead. Rings, pendants, bracelets and chains are manufactured from solid brass. The pieces are also plated with 10 micrometre silver or brass, and have an antique finish.
