About Nomination Italian Jewellery and Bracelets

In 1987, Italian Paolo Gensini set out to create an item of jewellery that could be customised specifically to a person’s individual tastes, appealing to everybody and anybody. Paolo designed what we know as the ‘Nomination bracelet’ (from the Latin term meaning “giving someone an appropriate name”). This revolutionary piece of jewellery allows its owners to create something which is totally personal and truly meaningful.

Nomination's composable bracelet links are made from stainless steel, 18ct gold, enamel, semi-precious stones or cubic zirconia and are personalised link by link. There are over two thousand different links available and each link is handmade in a studio in Florence, Italy. They are each certified with the famous Nomination logo ensuring quality and originality.

• 1. Decide which size bracelet you would like: 
  At Fabulous, we sell two different sizes Classic and Big. Classic is the smaller size of link and certainly the most popular. Often men choose the Big link.
• 2. Start with a base bracelet.
  Each is formed from a strip of 13 stainless steel links (Classic £5, Big £7).
• 3. Then - add your own personal links.
  Once you have your base bracelet, the fun begins! You will need to start adding more customised links until it is the perfect fit for your wrist. Women usually need around 17 to 18 different links to form a bracelet, men need around 20. However, this depends on an individual’s wrist size.

You can personalise your Nomination bracelet any way you want by choosing from the enormous range of links available, from £13 per link. You can gradually add to your bracelet over time, replacing the plain base links with pictures and symbols until all the links are personal to you. This is what makes a Nomination bracelet such a jewellery gift, because its so unique and personal.

Choose from letters which can be bought in 18ct gold, cubic zirconia, and also in red or blue enamel to spell out any name or initials. Numbers are also available in 18ct gold and are fantastic for composing a memorable date – a birthday, wedding, anniversary or special age. Celebrate your birthday with your star sign, Chinese year symbol or birthstone, or show your patriotism with your country’s flag.

Choose from an enormous variety of pictures and symbols of hobbies and interests. If sports are your passion, choose a football, boat, skier, racing driver, golfer... the list is endless!
