September's 'Fabulous Friend' is the founder of Lola Rose - Nikki Gewirtz What was your inspiration to create Lola Rose and where did the name originate from?The name Lola Rose came because I was inspired by my late grandmother who name was Lola. She was a very glamorous lady who never left home without her fantastic faux pearls layered over her beautiful semi-precious stones. I decided I wanted to create affordable luxury, something that would hopefully last and become a classic piece within a wardrobe, however not break the bank. Things that would make women feel fantastic about themselves and most importantly make you smile.What inspires your collections? Life itself - anything that we do in our normal day to day lives will inspire me, reading, going on holiday, magazines, even the weather sometimes.Do you have a favorite piece? I am very fickle when it comes to what is my favorite of anything. With the jewellery it is usually the piece that arrives on my desk after waiting weeks for the sample to arrive. When it does and it's perfect, I am afraid that then becomes my favourite.How do you feel when you see a celebrity wearing one of your designs? Very very proud obviously, but nothing beats seeing my family and friends wearing Lola Rose with pride and enjoying every minute of it.What can fabulous expect from Lola Rose next season? We have added four new stones into next spring summer collection.
