With all the staff from Fabulous, including owner Jo Stroud and the team from both shops (Leamington and Solihull) being joined by customers and friends, a team of 60 women in pink 'Fabulous' T-shirts made a fantastic sight at the race. With nearly £2000 being raised in sponsorships and donations so far, Fabulous was delighted with the success of the event, and thrilled that so many people joined in.
Fabulous would like to thank Jason Hartland of Print 5 in Coventry, who printed the 'Fabulous' T-shirts free of charge; and Nomination Italian Charm Bracelets, who continue to donate 10% of every Breast Cancer link sold to breast cancer charities. Fabulous gave every customer who joined the 'Fabulous' team a Nomination bracelet with a free Breast Cancer link, to thank them for joining in. Success was celebrated with a glass of pink bubbly at the end of the race.
Jo Stroud, owner of Fabulous, was delighted with the turnout. "It's a fantastic cause, and doing a race like this in a big group makes it more fun and a bit more of an event. Walk, run or amble, it doesn't matter at all - it's all about taking part. We're going to make it an annual Fabulous event, as well as continuing to raise money all year round for Cancer Research UK, as it's important to us and to our customers."The next two events which Fabulous is organising are 'Girls Night Out!', a fun fashion show and cocktail party featuring young and fun jewellery to celebrate Solihull store's first anniversary (Wed 10th Sept at The Town House, mums and daughters welcome, tickets £5) and 'Fabulous Rocks!', the annual black tie dinner with fine jewellery and diamonds - with a superb jewellery-filled raffle in aid of Cancer Research UK. It's on Friday 7th November, at Nuthurst Grange - tickets £39 - call Fabulous on 01926 430934 to book tickets.
