VIP Garden Party: The Bath Priory

Sixty women from Bath mingled with famous jewellery designers at the second annual Fabulous Bath Garden Party hosted at the Bath Priory Hotel on Thursday 27th June. Guests included trend-setting designers Dinny Hall and Chloe Moss (ChloBo).

Jo Stroud, owner of Fabulous designer jewellery store in Southgate, and store manager Becky Johnson welcomed the guests who arrived at midday for Pimm’s. Jo said: “We believe all the collections that we stock at Fabulous have three things in common: they are beautifully designed, well-made, and very wearable.

“Today is a chance to play with the jewellery, try it on – it’s a very different environment to a shop, with no glass cabinets, no locked doors – so have some fun!

“The Garden Party is about showcasing the diverse range of what we stock, and letting you meet the people and faces behind the designs.”

Jo introduced Dinny Hall, who is celebrating her 30th anniversary of designing this year. Known as the ‘British Tiffany’ due to her classic designs in Sterling Silver, Dinny also has some real fashion-forward collections, loved by fashion editors.

Dinny Hall, whose celebrity clients include Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger, explained how she first started taking an interest in jewellery aged four and how she had combed jumble sales to discover unusual pieces. Dinny said: “It’s wonderful to meet my customers and I’m really enjoying my time in Bath.”

Jo continued, “I’m also thrilled to have Chloe Moss from ChloBo here – known for her stacking silver bracelets, layering necklaces, all made in Balinese silver, and with charms inspired by Buddhism. Chloe has a huge celebrity following, and is up for ‘Jewellery Brand of the Year’ at next week’s Jewellery Awards. We are also up for two awards at the same event, so we’re all keeping our fingers crossed!”

Guests were seated alongside the designers to eat a three course lunch, providing plenty of opportunity to swap style advice and hear about design inspiration and current trends.

There was plenty of time to look at the jewellery and explore the gardens in the sunshine. Everyone left with a Fabulous goody bag.

Fabulous is heavily involved with Bath Fashion Week and also hosts a Girls Night Out event in September. For future events keep an eye on our events page and Facebook page.
